Venue Impact
We want to ensure regular users can still enjoy the facilities but there will be some adjustments during the event.

Pump Track
It will remain open throughout the weekend. However, please note that it may be busier than usual with riders taking part in the event.

Golf Course
It will also continue operating but a new access point will be set up for golfers. This will be at the bottom of the path from the first tee. We request that all golfers park on Archerhill Road. All golf bookings will be advised of these changes and team members will be stationed on site to guide golfers to the first tee.

Electric Car Charging
This will not be available for the duration of the event
Volunteers - We Need You!
Planning and delivering an event of this scale is no easy feat! That’s why we are looking for volunteers to get involved. Get up close to the action with a range of volunteer opportunities at Scotland’s biggest BMX race.

Resident Impact
Traffic and Parking
We understand that residents may be concerned about increased traffic and limited parking during the event. To minimise disruption, we have created over 200 dedicated parking spaces at the Glasgow BMX Centre for riders and staff. We have also partnered with Glasgow Life to secure additional parking at Scotstoun Stadium for the duration of the event, supported by an electric shuttle service transporting riders to and from the track.

There will still be some additional vehicles in the local area over the weekend, and we appreciate your patience during this short period. We ask all riders and staff to park considerately and to respect residents, businesses, and daily access needs.

Noise
Racing is scheduled for approximately:
-
Friday: 4pm – 9pm
-
Saturday: 8am – 6pm
-
Sunday: 8am – 5pm

We do not anticipate excessive noise outside these hours. Once racing finishes each day, the site will be closed, and riders will return to their accommodation off-site, ensuring the evenings remain quiet.

Cleanliness
We are committed to leaving the BMX Centre and surrounding area exactly as we found it. Riders and visitors will be encouraged to use the bins provided, and our team will undertake a full litter pick after the event. All waste will be removed and disposed of appropriately.

Safety
Your safety and peace of mind are important to us. Stewards and security staff will be present throughout the event, including overnight on Friday and Saturday. National level BMX events are family-focused, with many children and teenagers attending alongside their families. These events have an excellent track record, with a respectful and well-behaved community.

Electric Vehicle Charging
Electric vehicle charging points will not be available for use for the duration of the event.
Contact Us
If you have any questions about the event, as a rider, trader, volunteer, spectator or local resident that hasn't been answered above please get in touch with us directly at info@movementpark.org.uk.
