Meet The Team

Founder & CEO
Stephen Somerville
Stevi is a former judo national coach who trained athletes for the Commonwealth Games and has developed and delivered numerous education and sports programs. He founded Movement Park in 2017 because he wanted to challenge old fashioned perspectives on sport and physical activity by teaching fundamental movement skills that can be linked to any sport.
His aim with Movement Park is to create a community of super movers who develop their physical literacy through our classes so they have the confidence and competence to stay active for life.

Community Development Officer
Kirsty Mitchell
Kirsty has a degree in Sports Coaching and Development and worked as a lead coach for Active Schools and Active Communities.
Kirsty heads up our Rock Up and Ride Cycling Partnership with Scottish Cycling, and is instrumental in developing and managing our cycling pathway from Learn to Ride all the way up to our racing team, the BMX Bandits. She manages community projects and engages with schools and local groups, making sure everyone feels welcome at Movement Park.

Marketing and Membership Manager
Susannah Dale
Susie is an ex PR Director with over a decade of marketing experience for big name brands. Her youngest son has been coming to Movement Park since before he was two and after seeing firsthand the impact it’s had on his movement and biking skills she’s a huge advocate for the charity.
Susie joined at the beginning of 2025 and is responsible for all the comms, events and PR. She loves sharing stories about the charity and the people involved and promoting the value of physical literacy.

Head Coach
Ben Wilkinson
Ben is an integral part of Movement Park. As head coach he delivers all the parkour sessions for tots to teens and supports the other coaches and volunteers with their roles.
Ben started at Movement Park as a volunteer and is now a Level 2 qualified coach with a Level 6 Coaching Apprenticeship. He likes parkour because it’s freeing and creative and he enjoys teaching new people about the sport he loves.

Daisy Bratton
Daisy has been skateboarding since she was 5 and roller skating since she was 10.
She caught our eye on social media and we invited her to join our coaching team. Daisy has now started an apprenticeship with us.

Lead skateboarding coach
Kyle
Kyle taught himself how to skateboard and has won various skateboarding jams in Glasgow. He’s a GB Qualified Get Rolling and BMX Freestyle coach.
He likes the creative and individual aspects of skateboarding, BMX and rollerskating and seeing the kids he coaches get that same enjoyment out of the sport as well as improving their physical literacy.

Lead Biking Coach
Amelie
Amelie is a BMX racer who has competed at a regional and national level.
She’s a Level 2 cycling coach and loves seeing kids progress and gain enthusiasm and confidence.

Skateboard, Roller Skating and Girls on Board Coach
Cathy Bratton
Cathy taught herself how to roller skate and now skates with both her teenage children as a family activity.
She’s a qualified roller skate/inline coach with the British Sport Federation. She loves seeing kids make new friends and learn skills that will mold them into awesome humans.

Parkour Coach
Dahmane
Dee is a Level 1 parkour coach with a ton of experience. He loves to learn from the other Movement Park coaches.
