About Movement Park
Movement Park is a charity that uses the power of movement, sport, and physical activity to improve lives and strengthen communities. Based in Glasgow, we create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage in movement in fun, innovative, and inclusive ways.
Our mission is to change perceptions, remove barriers, and inspire future generations. We focus on physical literacy — teaching the fundamentals of movement so every child and young person can develop skills, confidence, and self-esteem that last a lifetime.
We aim to create inclusive and inspiring movement centres, removing barriers to participation and making movement accessible to all. Through our community projects, we strive to deliver lasting social and health impacts across Scotland.

Gill Wylie,
Board Member
"I joined the board after experiencing first hand what a real difference the classes make when it comes to young people’s physical confidence. One thing I was a bit worried about was not being able to give enough time to really support the brilliant ambitions of the organisation. What I discovered is a flexible, supportive team that understands real life happens."
Al Hindle,
Board Member
“I didn’t come from a traditional governance or nonprofit background, so I assumed I wasn’t ‘qualified.’ But Movement Park actively welcomes people with varied skills. If you care about helping young people thrive, you already have something valuable to bring.”
Daryn Cochrane,
Board Member
"I expected board meetings to feel a bit governance heavy and stuffy, but the culture here is genuinely inclusive. Everyone’s ideas are listened to, and collaboration comes naturally. Joining the board felt like joining a community."
