If you can breathe you can do yoga! the yoga sessions at Movement Park are tailored to suit practitioners of all levels of experiences and abilities.
In these sessions, we playfully learn how to reconnect to our body, synchronizing breath and movement by moving through a sequence of standing, seated and supine postures that help mobilise the body, build up strength and flexibility, soothe the nervous system for greater mental clarity and calmness of mind.
Wednesday: 6-7.30pm All ages (P4+) and levels (Please note it takes place upstairs, and there is no lift access)
Yoga originated in India, but there are many variations of the activities that are practiced across the world today.
Yoga can be practiced anywhere there is enough room to stretch out and there is a flat surface to sit or lie on: studio, house, park, dock and more importantly at Movement Park.
How to play
Yoga is typically guided by an instructor who leads the class through a set of movements and/or exercises to offer students stress-relief, increased flexibility and strength. The best part is that yoga is friendly to people of all ages, abilities and skill levels, which makes it awesome.

Movement Park includes everyone, regardless of any ability or circumstance. Some sports and activities may, however, require a few adaptations to make them as accessible as possible. With a positive attitude and a little ingenuity, any activity can be made enjoyable for all. If your child has a disability, please ask our staff if our Yoga activities are suitable for you or your child.
